The Story of the Man Behind the Brand

Born in 1959 in Kerala, India, Poland Moosa overcame a life-threatening smallpox infection and severe childhood hardship to build a remarkable entrepreneurial journey. After leaving home at nine, he worked in various jobs before arriving in Dubai in 1977, where he began his career as a domestic helper and later entered the retail trade sector in Deira.

In 1988, he launched his first enterprise, Al Ghuroob, and made a pioneering business trip to Poland, a turning point that earned him the name “Poland Moosa” and paved the way for international expansion across Poland, Bulgaria, and Russia. Despite having only a basic education, he is fluent in over fifteen languages.

In 2004, Poland Moosa founded Fragrance World, which soon became a leading name in Dubai’s fragrance industry and expanded globally. The launch of French Avenue in 2012 further reflected the company’s international success. Today, Fragrance World operates its own manufacturing facility, offers over 4,000 perfume variants, produces hundreds of thousands of bottles daily, and has established its presence in more than 150 countries, positioning Poland Moosa among the most successful Indian entrepreneurs on the global stage.
