‘Up Close and Personal’ is a concept that brings Indian Film personalities to the Middle East in a completely new avatar and breaks the notion that film personalities are not accessible. The brainchild of award-winning Producer Vevek Paul, brings this much-needed ‘Up Close and Personal’ experience to Dubai. The first ‘Up Close and Personal’ was graced by the ‘Badman’ of Indian Cinema Gulshan Grover.
‘Up Close and Personal’ was truly an event that gave the audience an extensive in-depth insight into the illustrious life of Gulshan Grover. Spanning more than four decades of experience in films, in India and across the globe, it was a glimpse of Gulshan’s dedication and passion for his acting profession.
The event began with a bang. A stunning dance performance by Gulshan took everyone by surprise. A session of Q&A and interaction with the audience followed it. Organised at India club, the iconic Indian cultural and social center in Dubai, UAE the event got a warm welcome by the audience.
Gulshan spoke about his first Hollywood film and how he changed the perception of Bollywood actors in Hollywood by his sheer dedication to the profession. He even touched upon many of his personal and professional relationships with various personalities and dignitaries across the globe. In addition, his library of archives in the form of photographs and videos was a disclosure into aspects of his life that have never been spoken of in any interviews.
