UNO Capital, a Dubai-based citizenship and residency by investment advisory firm, has published a comparison of four of Türkiye’s citizenship by investment routes, which start at USD 400,000 and share a minimum three-year holding period.
The overview helps investors understand how the routes differ before choosing one. The figures reflect published minimum investment thresholds as of October 2026 and may change.
What Are the Investment Routes?
- Real estate: USD 400,000 in qualifying property in Türkiye.
- Investment funds: USD 500,000 in real estate or venture capital funds.
- Bank deposit: USD 500,000 in a bank operating in Türkiye.
- Government bonds: USD 500,000 in bonds issued by Türkiye.
Note: Investment amounts are stated in USD. The applicable investment amounts must be processed through the Turkish banking system and converted into Turkish lira in accordance with applicable regulations. Investment amounts are subject to current Turkish lira conversion rates.
How Do the Routes Differ?
- Real estate: The property is subject to a licensed appraisal, and a sale restriction is recorded on the title deed.
- Investment funds: Only funds approved by the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye qualify.
- Bank deposit: The deposit must be held in a Turkish bank for three years.
- Government bonds: The bonds are issued by the Turkish government and held for three years.
“Thresholds of USD 400,000 to USD 500,000 are only the starting point. Investors should also consider the asset type and how the three-year holding period fits their objectives,” said Sebastian Michael, Director at UNO Capital.
