- BlueFive Capital becomes the second-largest shareholder in the luxury car company after Rimac Group
- BlueFive will have a seat on the board of Bugatti Rimac
BlueFive Capital, one of the world’s fastest growing investment managers[1], today announced it has completed the acquisition of a 30% equity stake in Bugatti Rimac, the producer of the Bugatti supercars.
The stake was purchased directly from Porsche AG, making BlueFive Capital the largest shareholder in Bugatti Rimac after Rimac Group. As part of the transaction, BlueFive Capital will have a board seat at Bugatti Rimac and two observer seats. The transaction closed September 9, 2026.
BlueFive Capital has grown rapidly since launching in November 2024, today managing more than $15 billion in assets. The investment in Bugatti Rimac represents an important step in the development of its broader consumer investment strategy, as it continues to identify opportunities in businesses with powerful brands, defensible market positions and long-term growth potential.
The firm sees significant long-term opportunities at both ends of the consumer market. The continued expansion of the global ultra-high-net-worth population is driving demand for exceptional luxury brands characterised by scarcity, heritage, strong pricing power and deep customer loyalty. Such businesses can be particularly resilient across economic cycles. Meanwhile, the flight to technology and artificial intelligence in particular has created attractive opportunities in cash-generative businesses serving everyday consumer needs at the other end of the consumer landscape.
Hazem Ben Gacem, Founder and Chief Executive of BlueFive Capital, said: “This is a landmark transaction for BlueFive and an important step in the expansion of our private equity business in Europe. Bugatti Rimac brings together two extraordinary brands with exceptional heritage, innovation and global appeal, and we are delighted to partner with Rimac Group as the company enters its next chapter.”
